The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations,[5] more commonly referred to as Rhode Island (/?ro?d 'a?l?nd/ ( listen) or /r?'da?l?nd/), is a state in the New England region of the United States. It is the smallest U.S. state by area. Rhode Island is bordered by Connecticut to the west and Massachusetts to the north and east, and it shares a water boundary with New York's Long Island to the southwest.

Heritage for the Blind is a non-profit organization serving the blind and visually impaired in Rhode Island. Our mission is to provide the tools necessary to help the blind and visually impaired in Rhode Islandindependently explore and participate fully in society.
